Uhudler is a regional specialty of southern Burgenland. The special vines may only be grown in this region and pressed into a unique, fruity and refreshing wine with a special aroma. For a long time, Uhudler was not allowed to be sold at all and could only be tasted as a “house drink” at local wineries. For some years now, this rarity typical of the region has become increasingly well-known and is appreciated far beyond Burgenland. The special aroma and fruity freshness are particularly effective as a frizzante.
With “wilderWiderstand”, an alcohol-free version of the popular Uhudler Frizzante is now available for the first time. The production process is comparatively laborious, as the rare and rather expensive Uhudler grapes are first harvested by hand and fermented into a sparkling wine that naturally contains alcohol. The alcohol is then removed from the wine in a complex process that only a few suppliers in Europe have mastered. However, the original characteristics and special aroma are largely retained.
In a further step, the dealcoholized wine is cooled, carbonated and quickly bottled to preserve its full flavour.
